June 2013 saw the first edition of the MACC-II Summer School take place in Anglet, France.

MACC-II is the European project in charge of developing and providing the range of services of the Copernicus programme on the composition of the Earth's atmosphere; it provides data records on atmospheric composition for recent years, data for monitoring present conditions and forecasts of the  distribution of key constituents for a few days ahead.

MACC-II is operated by a consortium of 36 partners from 13 countries, led by ECMWF.

Attendees of the Summer School had the opportunity to engage with some of the most renowned scientists in the field. The various training lectures can now be viewed on-line at http://www.copernicus-atmosphere.eu/events/summerschool/
