The summer 2013 edition of the ECMWF Newsletter has been published. The main articles deal with breakthrough in forecasting convection, use of ECMWF’s data and products, new data from the S-NPP satellite, use of Atmospheric Motion Vectors and extreme snowfall in Italy in 2012.
