2m Temperature: Weekly mean anomalies & warming stripes for the 3 ECMWF locations (Reading, Bonn, Bologna)
Base Time: Thu 17 Oct 2024 00 UTC T+264 Valid time: Mon 21 Oct 2024 00 UTC - Mon 28 Oct 2024 00 UTC
The anomalies have been calculated relative to a 20-year model climatology. The areas where the ensemble forecast is not significantly different from the climatology are blanked.
A “warming stripes” are a visual representations of the change in temperature. #ShowYourStripes
Forecast charts and data
We provide current forecasts, climate reanalyses and specific datasets. These are available via the web, point-to-point dissemination, data servers and broadcasting.
Researchers, WMO members, commercial users and satellite data providers can gain access to ECMWF forecast products under one of our various license agreement types.
Serving meteorology
International collaboration is fundamental to the work of ECMWF, working with the EU and the meteorological community at large, including the World Meteorological Organization, space agencies, and scientists around the world.
Workshops and education
Education is a key element of our work at ECMWF, enabling our partners to get the most from ECMWF's services and develop an advanced understanding of forecasting.
November 4 – 8 | Training course: Predictability and ensemble forecast systems |
November 11 – 15 | Training course: Numerical methods for weather prediction |
November 19 – 22 | NWP SAF Workshop on Satellite Observations of the Earth System Interfaces |
December 2 – 3 | CORSO & CATRINE Projects General Assembly |
February 3 – 6 | Training course: Use and interpretation of ECMWF products |
March 3 – 7 | Training course: Parametrization of subgrid physical processes |
March 17 – 21 | Training course: Data assimilation & Machine Learning |
March 24 – 28 | Training course: EUMETSAT/ECMWF NWP-SAF satellite data assimilation |
ECMWF workshops are open to the worldwide meteorological community, though some training is restricted to member states.
