Comparison of targeting methods

This project, realized under the leadership of Drs C Reynolds and M Peng of NRL Monterey, and in collaboration with Drs Craig Bishop of Penn State University, S Majumdar of the University of Miami, and S Aberson of NOAA/AOML, aims to compare 5 different targeting methods for 78 cases of tropical cyclone development in the Atlantic ocean.

A paper that summarizes the results of this latest investigation, in press at Monthly Weather Review, can be accessed from this page.
