Event probability
products provide the probabilities of the occurrence of weather
events at each grid point. The probabilities are calculated on the
basis that each ensemble member is equally likely. Probability
fields for wave height (with thresholds of 2,4,6,8 m) and mean
period (with thresholds of 8,10,12,15 seconds) are defined in the
ECMWF local table 2 version 131 (Event probabilities) and are as in
Table 7.2:
