Monthly Forecasting

ECMWF started an experimental programme in monthly forecasting (time range from 10 to 30 days) in March 2002. Presently, monthly forecasting is still an experimental programme in which forecasting skill is being evaluated. Given this framework, it is important that any potential user of monthly forecasting is cautious.
