Section Previous Section 5.1 IntroductionCumulus convection is parametrized by a bulk mass flux scheme which was originally described in Tiedtke (1989). The scheme considers deep, shallow and mid-level convection. Clouds are represented by a single pair of entraining/detraining plumes which describes updraught and downdraught processes. Momentum transport by convective is also included. Next Section Previous Section |
