Conventions for Atmosphere Archiving: MARS

 
 

 

MARS archiving

This section provides templates to archive surface and pressure level data for daily and monthly mean fields. The MARS requests archive all the common variables for a 7-month 9-member ensemble hindcast started on the 1st of May 1991. Users are expected to modify the directives "origin", "system", "method" and "expver" according to the rules described above.

When you'll be ready to archive the GRIB files with the atmospheric output, you might want to check that your scripts work fine by archiving the data in the MARS test server. To do this, include the directive:

database= marsscratch,

in your MARS archive request. The result can be checked in the following
web site:
