In the near future the forecast lead time will be extended to at least day 7 and the EFI will be computed for additional parameters, such as 2 m maximum and minimum temperature and snowfall. The calculation of the EFI itself may also be modified to improve the handling of the M-climate sampling issues at the extremes. Users will also be able to view the M-climate information in map format.
