ERA-15 Full Resolution SFC 10 Day Forecast Data Sets

Description:

  • period supported - January 1979 to December 1993;
  • fields are forecasts with steps every 12 hours from 0 to 240;
  • forecasts from base time 0000 UTC are available every 15 days starting from 1 January each year;
  • forecasts from base time 1200 UTC are available starting from the 1st and 16th of each month.

Fields available are:

2 metre dewpoint temperature, 2 metre temperature, 10 metre u and v wind components, apparent surface humidity, boundary layer dissipation, convective precipitation, convective snowfall, evaporation, forecast albedo, forecast log surface roughness for heat, forecast surface roughness, gravity wave dissipation, high cloud cover, instantaneous moisture flux, instantaneous surface heat flux, instantaneous x surface stress, instantaneous y surface stress, large scale precipitation, large scale snowfall, latitudinal component of gravity wave stress, log of surface roughness for heat, low cloud cover, maximum temperature at 2 metre since previous post-processing, mean sea level pressure, medium cloud cover, meridional component of gravity wave stress, minimum temperature at 2 metre since previous post-processing, percentage of vegetation, runoff, skin reservoir content, skin temperature, snow depth, snowfall, soil temperature levels 1, 2, 3 and 4, soil wetness levels 1, 2, 3 and 4, surface latent heat flux, surface sensible heat flux, surface solar radiation, surface solar radiation downward, surface thermal radiation, surface thermal radiation downward, top solar radiation, top thermal radiation, total cloud cover, U-component of surface stress, V-component of surface stress.
