Forecast accumulation

Description:

period available is 1 January 1979 to 31 December 1993;
each parameter at each level is stored as a grid point field at 2.5° resolution;
This data set contains only accumulating fields from the forecast with the following data available:
- 24 hour accumulations are available from forecasts beginning at 0000 and 1200 UTC.
- 6 hour accumulations are available from 0000 to 0600 UTC, 0600 to 1200 UTC, 1200 to 1800 UTC, 1800 to 2400 UTC.
6 hour accumulations use forecast time periods designed to minimise the effects of spin-up.

The values used will be as follows:

Fields available are :

boundary layer dissipation, convective precipitation, convective snowfall, evaporation, gravity wave dissipation, large scale precipitation, large scale snowfall, latitudinal component of gravity wave stress, meridional component of gravity wave stress, runoff, snowfall, surface latent heat flux, surface sensible heat flux, surface solar radiation, surface solar radiation downward, surface thermal radiation, surface thermal radiation downward, top solar radiation, top thermal radiation, U-component of surface stress, V-component of surface stress.

The fields surface solar radiation downward, surface thermal radiation downward are not available for the period 1 September 1980 to 31 December 1982.
