period supported - 1 December 1978 to 28 February 1994;
fields are uninitialised or initialised analyses for 0000, 0600, 1200 and 1800 UTC each day;
31 hybrid model levels;

Fields available for uninitialised analysis are :

ln surface pressure, orography on level 1, plus temperature, vorticity, divergence, vertical velocity, u- and v-components of horizontal wind and specific humidity at all levels;

specific humidity is archived as gaussian fields with the rest archived as spherical harmonics.

Additional fields available for initialised analysis are :

cloud cover, cloud liquid water content, cloud ice water content at all levels;

all fields above are archived as gaussian fields
