Conditions for use of ECMWF products by WMO members

1. GTS products in GRIB and BUFR

All products are provided under conditions in accordance with WMO resolution 40 (CG-XII). A table of products is published on the web. Essential products are marked, all others are additional.

2. Graphical products on the web

2.1 Global and regional maps based on parameters sent on GTS

These are the medium range forecast products. Access is provided under conditions in accordance with WMO resolution 40 (CG-XII).

2.2 Global and regional maps of seasonal forecasts

Access is provided under the following conditions:

1. ECMWF seasonal forecast products are provided for use by professional meteorologists aware of the state-of-the-art in seasonal forecasts. This use falls under your full responsibility.
2. The NMHS may use the ECMWF seasonal forecasts for internal use and official duty use.
3. The ECMWF seasonal forecast products may not be redistributed to any third party; in particular, they may not be posted on any website.
4. Commercial use of the ECMWF seasonal forecast products is prohibited.

3. Seasonal SST forecasts on the GTS

Provided under conditions in accordance with WMO resolution 40 (CG-XII).

4. Tropical cyclone tracks

Products are on the GTS under conditions in accordance with WMO resolution 40 (CG-XII), the same conditions apply to the graphical products on the web.

5. EPSgrams for WMO members

The EPSgrams for WMO Members are provided under the following conditions:

1. ECMWF EPSgrams are provided for use by professional meteorologists aware of the state-of-the-art in Numerical Weather Prediction. This use falls under the full responsibility of each NMHS.
2. The NMHS may use the ECMWF EPSgrams for internal use and official duty use.
3. The ECMWF EPSgrams may not be redistributed to any third party; in particular, they may not be posted on any website.
4. Commercial use of the ECMWF EPSgrams is prohibited.
