Project description

The PALM project is part of the MERCATOR project, the objective of which is to achieve an operational data assimilation system in a high resolution global oceanic model. CERFACS has undertaken the development of a universal assimilation software (Palm project). This software has to be fully modular and, in the meantime, has to allow operational real-time applications. One of the reference platforms is a Fujitsu VPP with a high number of processors. We have now implemented some prototypes and we need to run them quite extensively on the VPP of ECMWF. MP12 is needed.
